Google’s open source web browser

It is very nice to hear that Google is launching its open source web browser named “chrome” on the 2nd September 2008. They are launching its Beta version tomorrow. I think this is a great moment for all of you out there who loves google and its activities. The launch of GOOGLE CHROME is the the best since the launch of google docs, that enabled all of us to use the spreadsheet without installing anything at our system.

Today google published a comic book, which is throwing some light at the new browser to be launched. Security wise it is said to be very good and it uses google’s own JavaScript Engine called v8.

Presently they are launching the beta version of Google Chrome for Windows, Mac and Linux versions will follow soon.

and according to Google:

So why are we launching Google Chrome? Because we believe we can add value for users and, at the same time, help drive innovation on the web.

Like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go.

Yes, that is the spirit every other company on the web should follow.

Hope Google Chrome will make the web a  more better and more secure place.
